Elon Musk has launched a new set of vitriolic attacks on the Trump Administration after a joint Department of Justice / FBI report claimed that the “Epstein List” never existed.
The “Epstein List” name originated with a 2015 defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents in that case named witnesses, flight logs from Epstein’s private jet, contact lists, and other records which were progressively unsealed following judicial orders to make public the identities of individuals previously referred to as “John” or “Jane Doe.”
The documents name over 150 individuals connected to Epstein, including high-profile figures like former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, and others such as celebrities, business leaders, and academics.
The “John” and “Jane Does” are allegedly a “client list” used for blackmail or conspiracy purposes.
Musk, who recently fell out with Trump, launched a new attack in which he said that the DOJ’s report that there was no “client list” was for him, the “final straw.”
Musk has long claimed that there is such a list, and has implied that he has either seen it, or seen evidence of its existence, during his time as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk went on to post a series of memes mocking the Trump administration over its handling of the Epstein case.
“This is the final straw,” Musk posted in response to a user on X who said the administration’s pledges to release the files were “a farce.”
He also posted a meme of a digital display set to zero to serve as “The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter.”
Earlier, Muck claimed that Trump was “in the Epstein files” and that this was the real reason why the list had not been revealed.
“Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk posted on X. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
He followed up shortly after: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
